In conjunction with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) is hosting a tire recycling event on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm CT. The event is being held at the Lake County Division of Transportation facility located at 600 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, IL 60048.
Passenger car, truck and tractor tires will be accepted (no rims will be accepted). The event is open to all residents of Lake County, IL and there is a $1 per tire charge (cash only).
The event is being sponsored by SWALCO, the Lake County Farm Bureau, the Lake County Health Department and Community Heath Center and Clarke.
