As you are aware, the City’s contractor has been working on Highwood Avenue preparing the road for reconstruction. As part of this project, curbs and sidewalks will also be replaced along Highwood Avenue from Western Avenue to High Street. A second phase of sidewalk and curb replacement will be performed on Highwood Avenue between High Street and Green Bay Road.
Beginning on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 6:00 AM, there will be limited sidewalk access to East-Westbound pedestrian traffic on Highwood Avenue for approximately one month as crews remove and subsequently replace the existing sidewalk and curbs and roadway.
For everyone’s safety, we ask that you assist your students in navigating an alternate walking route to and from school during this construction period.
Additional notices and changes to this schedule may be required as we continue through the project.
