As we just completed our 3rd pick-up with Lakeshore Recycling Systems, we wanted to thank all our residents for their continued patience with the transition. We know the third cart enhancement with the "organics" is new and requires some adjustments to our routines, but here's some "food for thought" (no pun intended!) Plastic bags supposedly take 1,000 years to decompose in a landfill, but virtually nothing-not paper, food, plastic or biodegradable products decomposes in today's landfills. Keep up the great work Highwood!
