Hello Highwood resident! We Have A Tree For You!
We are excited to announce an upcoming tree planting project in your neighborhood!
It is free to participate - we will provide the trees, supplies, and facilitate the planting. All you need to do is commit to watering the new tree in front of your home between May and October for the next three years. Ten gallons (two 5-gallon buckets) of water per week will help each young tree survive and thrive. In turn, the bigger the tree gets the more shade, flood reduction, and other important benefits for your neighborhood for decades to come.

We have a limited number of trees for this project. Trees will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Interested residents must respond by November 1. *The deadline may be extended.
This project is made possible by a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative coordinated by the Chicago Region Trees. Click here for information.
Our tree planting is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2019. If you are interested in having a tree planted on your property or have any questions, please email or call Dustin Anand, Community Development Analyst, City of Highwood, danand@cityofhighwood.org -or- (224) 707 - 2085 , to get started.
