On Friday, February 12, 2016, the City’s contractor Pipe Vision will start lining the main sewer on High Street between Prairie and Sard. This lining will dramatically increase the lifetime of the infrastructure without requiring full replacement of the lines.
The work will take one day, approximately six to eight hours, to complete. Pipe Vision will provide residents in the area who will be affected with 24 hours advanced notice of the sewer lining to be performed. The notice will be a door hanger tag with the date and time of the lining. Please look for this notice.
During the work, the sewer lateral will be temporarily disconnected from the main sewer. To avoid sanitary sewer backups during the time of lining we ask that residents only use their toilet when absolutely necessary and do not use washing machines, dishwashers, bath tubs, showers and sinks.
Over use of the sanitary service line will cause a sanitary backup to occur in your home during the lining process. Once crews have completed the lining, residents can resume regular sanitary sewer production.
