This notice is to inform you that on Monday, June 20, 2016, the City’s contractor Visu Sewer will start lining the main sewer and manholes on Morgan Place between Mears and Prairie. This lining will dramatically increase the lifetime of the infrastructure without requiring full replacement of the line.
The work will take one day, approximately six to eight hours, to complete. Visu Sewer will also provide you advanced notice of the sewer lining to be performed. The notice will be a door hanger tag with the date and time of the lining. Please look for this notice.
During the work, your sewer lateral will be temporarily disconnected from the main sewer. To avoid sanitary sewer backups during the time of lining we ask that you only use your toilet when absolutely necessary and do not use washing machines, dishwashers, bath tubs, showers and sinks.
Over use of your sanitary service line will cause a sanitary backup to occur in your home or business during the lining process. Once crews have completed the lining, you can resume regular sanitary sewer production.
