Hello Highwood Residents,
The City of Highwood and the Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) based out of The Morton Arboretum are excited to partner with you for a voluntary, free tree planting project at your site this summer!
Normally, trees are planted in the spring and fall but we are making COVID-19 adjustments. We can plant in early June as long as you commit to proactively caring for your tree. These adjustments include the need to review your chosen tree location to ensure the right tree is planted in the right place.
We will deliver your tree, mulch, and tree care resources (including how to properly plant your tree) while respecting social distancing restrictions, as the health of our communities remains our priority. If you would like assistance in planting your tree please let us know. We are more than happy to help dig the hole or move the tree into place in stages, respecting social distance requirements.
If you are interested in participating please fill out the Early Summer 2020 Highwood Tree Planting Project - Sign Up for a Tree! for more information and/or contact Dustin Anand for more information about the project. Please reply by Friday, April 24, 2020.
Our creative, capable team looks forward to partnering with you!
Thank you!
