Description:  Are you ready for Spooky Season? This year The Highwood Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Haunted Highwood, Presented by the Bank of Highwood - Fort Sheridan.

Haunted Highwood includes a fun Trick-or-Treat event on Friday October 29th 3-6PM and a Window Decorating Contest with online voting lasting between October 11th & 31st.

Trick-or-Treat

Starting at the Bank of Highwood - Fort Sheridan, trick-or-treaters will have a chance to haunt downtown Highwood collecting goodies and participating in fun activities.

This is a free event open to families in Highwood AND surrounding communities to get treats from downtown Highwood’ businesses. Over 20 participating stops are on this year’s map!

Participating businesses are located throughout downtown Highwood on the “main drags” including Green Bay Rd, Waukegan Ave/Sheridan Rd, and side streets.

Storefront Decorating Contest

The Window Decorating Contest is a competition between the local businesses to see who can create the most creatively spooky design! YOU decide which business will take home the prize.

It’s $1 per vote (vote as many times as you like!) and half the funds raised from voting will go directly to the winning business!
