[ARCHIVED] ComEd Phone Scam

The Highwood Police Department received reports of a ComEd-related phone scam.
The caller informed the business owner that their account was overdue and that their power would be shut off if they didn't make a payment immediately. Please be reminded that no utility company would call someone directly to collect. Do not share any personal or banking information. Highwood Police encourages our residents to report any such activities and to be aware of any calls that advise them to give a credit card or banking information to pay off a debt.
