The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) directs a shoe recycling and reuse program for Lake County residents. Highwood's City Hall is currently a year-round drop off location for the program. Shoes can be dropped at City Hall Monday through Friday from 8:30 am CT to 4:30 pm CT (excluding observed holidays).
